The Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB) on August 26, 2025, issued the Gender Equality Policy.
This policy applies to: All officers and staff (regular, contractual, temporary, or deputed) of SPCB Odisha, Research scholars, interns, consultants and collaborators working under SPCB projects, Contractors, service providers and external agencies associated with SPCB Odisha.
The objectives are as follows:
• To create a safe, respectful and inclusive work environment free from discrimination, harassment, and gender-based violence.
• To integrate gender sensitivity into all regulatory, monitoring and project implementation frameworks.
• To promote equal opportunities in recruitment, training, promotion and leadership roles.
• To build institutional capacity through gender sensitization, awareness workshops and continuous monitoring.
• To strengthen community-level engagement, ensuring the participation of women in environmental decision-making, awareness campaigns, and stakeholder consultations.
